The AVT Demolition Hammer from Makita utilizes a powerful 14 AMP motor that delivers up to 12.7 ft.lbs. of impact energy to handle the most demanding applications. It's easy-to-operate slide switch increases productivity and allows for continuous use while on the job.
Anti-Vibration Technology is an internal counterbalance system that greatly reduces vibration - up to twice as much as standard demolition hammers! Less vibration leads to increased user comfort and greater overall productivity. The detached rear handle is spring loaded and engineered to provide less vibration and more control as well.
Extended life brushes are longer for more work between service intervals and less downtime. On top of that, the automatic brush cut-off protects commutator from damage for a longer tool life. Another great feature of these hammers is that they come equipped with a L.E.D. service light that notifies the user approximately 8 hours before the brushes need to be replaced, as well as a L.E.D. power light that indicates switch failure or cord damage.
The constant speed control automatically applies additional power to the motor to maintain speed under load to complete the most challenging jobs, and it's soft start suppresses start-up reaction for more control and better accuracy when restarting the hammer. The variable speed control dial enables user to match the speed to the application for greater versatility.
The 12 bit angle settings allow the bit to be set at different positions for operating convenience, and the one-touch chuck allows for quick bit changes. The side handle swivels 360° for greater control.
Makita's "No hammering when idling" function helps increase tool life.
