Roseburrough Laminated Wood Bull Floats are made of many strips of sturdy poplar wood laminated together with the grain "on edge." Poplar is preferred for floating as it has just the right porosity and strength to do a fine job of finishing concrete. It is long-wearing, and doesn't splinter.
