The MCC Threaded Rod Ratcheting Cutter is designed to cut mild steel threaded rod and is excellent for in place rod cutting (3/8 Rod). MCC's unique die design protects threaded rod from damage, no cleaning or chasing necessary, just cut & screw nut on the cut end. A spring loaded pin protects user from injury by securing cut piece to the tool, while the ratchet action allows for easy overhead cutting. The double-sided die design insures 2X lifetime and easy to replace dies.
